Project Spotlight: EdTech Strategy Lab

As part of a consultancy project with the European EdTech Alliance, I led the design of inclusive engagement formats for the EdTech Strategy Lab.

Starting in March 2024 at UNESCO, the project gained momentum during Belgium's EU presidency and contributed to the Council of Europe AI working conference. Workshops were hosted in multiple languages across Europe to ensure accessibility.

Key Achievements

The project delivered 16 workshops (both in-person and online) reaching over 10,000 participants globally. Notable engagement included 48 ministries of education and culminated in an event with 135 attendees from 32 countries featuring 30+ speakers.

Innovative Engagement Formats

Several standout formats emerged as particularly impactful:

  • Networking Bingo at Cocktail Events: Designed to accelerate meaningful connections and facilitate collaboration in a relaxed setting.

  • Networking Breakfast at SETT: A tailored session engaging municipalities and

stakeholders across the Nordic region, creating bridges between different groups.

  • Convergence & Divergence Online Workshops: Themed conversations allowed for deep dives into key topics, promoting a plurality of perspectives and stakeholder considerations.

  • Educator and School Leader Workshops in Portugal: Focused on dynamic cultural motivations, these sessions revealed evolving needs and actionable insights.

Through iterative design and continuous reflection, the project successfully engaged stakeholders ranging from elementary students to senior policymakers, demonstrating the value of dynamic, inclusive approaches to EdTech collaboration and knowledge exchange.
